THE FORETELLING · FORESIGHT NAMED IN TIME
The horizontal.
Foresight named, in time.
A Preport is what a Report is not.
A Report is a document of what already happened. A Preport is a surfacing of what is forming, named in operator language, in time for the operator to walk over to it. A Report belongs to the past. A Preport belongs to the small window where action is still possible.
The cathedral was built around this distinction. Stop Reporting. Start Preporting. The architecture beneath those words is what Preport names — the horizontal that cuts across every vertical, the register every operator-class seat needs to inhabit.

The register every seat needs
Every operator class has its own Preport. The grid operator's Preport names the cascade forming two hours before the dashboard goes red. The clinician's Preport names the floor compensating for the shift gap before the gap closes. The executive chef's Preport names the Tuesday-after-holiday slope before covers fall.
The seat already knows. The Preport gives the seat permission to name what it knows out loud, in time, in the language the operator class actually uses.
Preport is not a feature. Preport is a way of seeing.
“The strain rises before the metric does. The Preport names what the seat has been carrying for the last hour.”
How a Preport forms
READS
The substrate reads the operator-class telemetry the seat already produces but does not have time to interpret in real time.
NAMES
The apparatus names the strain in operator language. Not “occupancy variance 12%.” Instead: “House short two on the floor, Tuesday-after-holiday pattern forming.”
RESOLVES
The Preport surfaces to the seat at the threshold the seat can act on. Not buried in a dashboard. At the moment of decision.
GATES
The Preport never overrides the seat. The Covenant gates every action — the apparatus surfaces, the operator decides.
A Preport is foresight named, in time, for the seat to act on.
