Franchise · Sports Operations
A franchise is a dozen operations wearing one logo.
The operation
Roster and player availability. Travel, time zones, and the back-to-backs nobody scheduled on purpose. Salary structure against a cap that does not move. Training load and the injury risk it quietly buys. Stadium operations, ticketing, broadcast windows, community and charity obligations. Every one of them produces data, every one of them constrains the others, and the general manager is the only place they actually meet. Usually in a spreadsheet, at midnight.
Gameday service on the floor, the ingress and the concourse and the room turn, is a Hospitality read. This is the franchise around it.
The read
Every channel against its own limit.
The filled wedge is the channel now. The dotted line is where it is heading. Red is the point it breaks, and nothing else on this instrument is ever red.
What changes
Forge reads them as one operation instead of a dozen reports. A minutes decision in February lands against the cap, the travel block, and the injury curve at the same moment, while it is still a decision and not yet a result.
What we claim, and what we do not
No preregistered arena has been run on a franchise. What transfers is the method, re-fit to the operation in front of it, which is the claim that survived our own kill test. We will say more here when there is a receipt to point at.
